...i really do. Even though i have slight headache right now, ...Beer will prevail.

It´s not like i love any beer, ..being born in a city which originally brewed around 50 brands i was educated
to have fine distinctions between the kinds of beers and the situations that are perfect for it.

okay to get this started i will make a POSITIVE LIST and a NEGATIVE LIST.

THE WINNERS

- Brinkhoff´s #1
- Licher Pilsener
- Radeberger Pilsener
- Grolsch
- Jever Pilsener
- Staropramen
- DAB
- Krombacher
- Tannenzaepfle
- Hoevels
- Stifts Pilsener
- Carlsberg
- Augustiner Edelstoff
- Franziskaner Hefeweizen
- Moosehead
- Cass

NEGATIVE LIST ( Do not offer these to german guests! )
- heineken
- Kronenbourg
- Budweiser ( anything by AnheuserBusch )
- VB
- Corona
- XXXX Castlemaine
- Tooheys New
- Resch´s Pilsener
- Asahi
- Astra
- Holsten
- Bitburger

That´s what i can think of right now.

there´s many drinkables in between, but the ones on the negative list i would only drink if
i was stuck in the desert.

In the US i usually drank MGD... My guess is that canadian Moose is the best you can get on the american continent.
in Australia i tried almost every beer on the market, and ended up drinking imported beer, cause there was NO alternative.
Biggest surpise was CASS which i had in Korea, i think its from Mongolia ( brewed by a german though) and it was good enuff to
be served here.

Beer has to be Pils. the rest is water

I think it's apt that you put your post under religion. My friend owns a place called St.Veronus that serves Belgium Beer... he calls it his Beer Temple. I'm going to have to go with you on this. Once you start experimenting with different kinds of beer, you can't go back to just any domestic brand. One of the best things to do, is to go to your favorite pub, and just start ordering. Left, right and centre. Too many people don't even bother to take a chance and stray from the typical. Lately, my favorite beer is Wellington's SPA, Creemore (A nice micro-brewed beer), and Chimay. The worst beer? Dragon, and Lone Star beer... not even comparable to water, but the other yellow stuff.

Really no heineken I really like heineken I have tried a selection of beers granted not quite as many as you all but I think heineken is pretty good

...i´m not saying it is a bad drink, but if you were ordering one, i´d order a lemonade
out of solidarity.

Tiger does suck, and I'm not a big fan of Heineken... I'd put it in the ranks of Budweiser which, unlike the author, I find is all right... for a cheaper beer.

But really, isn't beer like pizza? There's bad pizza, but you'll still eat it. I don't think I've ever turned down a beer yet... except for the fakies.

I am a big fan of belgium beer, my favorite ever is St Feuillen, I love all the trappist beer but the St FEuillein beat them all. When I can have a decent choice, I tend to go for a grolsh or a calsberg export as they are always available. I have start to explore german beer now and I think that it's good to have belgian and german beer during the same session.

BUT I HATE THAT GERMAN BIER WITH A SMOKED BEACON TASTE!!!!! I don't remember it's name but it is awful...

Have you ever tried Boag's Premium ? We have it here in Oz. I think it's made in Tasmania or something. I love it. Either that or Hahn Premium/Premium Light.

I used to be a big fan of VB, but then my brother got me into drinking imports and other brands and I hardly touch the stuff anymore.

Bottoms Up! *cheers*
